A J1 - Frontflugspange Für Aufklärer, Seenotflieger-Verbände und Wetter-Erkundungs Staffeln in Silver by C. E. Juncker of Berlin. Instituted January 30, 1941, the Clasp for Reconnaissance, Air/Sea Rescue and Meteorological Squadrons in silver was awarded for specialized squadrons upon the completion of sixty combat missions. It is constructed out of a two-piece die struck/stamped nickel-silver base that has been silver washed, chemically blackened and finished in a protective lacquer coating. The obverse features a centrally placed eagle head surrounded by a laurel leaf and berry wreath that with a static swastika to the base, which is all flanked by four triangular cut outs and two nine-piece oak leaf clusters. The full back reverse features the appropriate; rivet, soldered-on barrel hinge, soldered on round wire catch and tapered pin. All of the components continue to work well.
