A Heeres Schirmmütze für Mannschaften und Unterführer der Infanterie. It is constructed out of field grey twill weave cotton, with a dark green wool center band and white piping. Attached to the obverse is a die stamped, nickel-silver based, silver washed 2nd pattern army cap eagle and multi piece reichs color cockade (with wool centerpiece) and die stamped, aluminum based, silvered oak leaf and acorn wreath. To the sides are two peened on multi piece steel black enameled buttons that hold the black leather chin cord in place. The front also features a black lacquered visor peak with a cross hatched light brown underside. The interior features a tan brown leather sweatband with stitching to attach it to the side. The interior edges and base are made of a brown tan cotton buckram lining. The underside has a clear diamond moisture shield, that remains 60% intact. The interior stitching remains 50% intact. The stitching holding the visor peak is 10% intact. Minor mothing throughout.
