USA – Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal

The Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal was created on November 6, 1942, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It was awarded to any member of the United States Armed Forces who served at least 30 days in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater between December 7, 1941, and March 2, 1946. The round shaped obverse feature two prominent servicemen on a beach landing scene with other servicemen, palm trees, the sea, battle ships and planes in the background, below an arched: “Asiatic Pacific Campaign”. The reverse features a proud eagle on a platform flanked by “1941 1945” (left) and “United States of America” (right). To the top is a rectangular loop and ring which holds a orange/yellow, white red and blue ribbon. The reverse has a bar that is maker marked “Graco – GI” with a pin, hinge and catch assembly. The medal measures 1 ¼ inches in diameter.
