A Deutsche Reichssportabzeichen für Leibesübungen (1917-1934) in bronze by Wernstien Jena. The bronze grade DRA badge was awarded to men and women between the ages of 18-32 who passed five parts of national fitness test within a 12-month period. It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been bronze washed and burnished. The oval shaped obverse depicts a centrally placed “DRA” in stylized letters which is surrounded by an oak leaf wreath which is tied together at the bottom with a ribbon. The reverse is maker marked “Werstein & Jena Lobstedt D.R.G.M. 35269” and correctly displays a; soldered on block hinge, soldered on rectangular wire catch and flat wire pin. It measures 1 ½ inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall.
