2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by WKC
A M1937 Luftwaffe Fliegerdolch by WKC of Solingen. All WKC matching parts. The blade on this one is the best part! The acid etched knight's head "WKC Solingen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is easily visible as you shine it in the light. It has a perfect fit and tip. The blade rates NM. It shows the slightest spotting and runner rest marks. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard is steel based with an airplane grey finish. The scabbard depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and retains its correct single screw remains intact. The Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has good detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The pommel and steel ferrule look awesome as well with those proud oak leaves and acorns. The celluloid over plaster grip looks great. Typical minor marks throughout. The springy aluminum wire wrap is tightly secured and looks great. Minor zinc pest throughout. A picker got this from the veteran's family and sent it to me. Never been in a collection!
