United States - Model 1902 Officers Sword made in Solingen, Germany and distributed by American Military Supply Corp. of New York. Introduced July 17, 1902, the Model 1902 Army Officers’ Saber is the current sword used by officers of the United States Army. The official nomenclature for the current regulation U.S. Army saber is “saber for all officers, Model 1902”. The German made, stainless steel, slightly curved, single edged, fullered, triple-etched, 31 ¾ inch long blade on this one is looks great! All three acid etched panels provide a gorgeous display. The obverse features the Star of David and reads: “Proved”. The reverse is marker/distributor marked and reads: “American Military Supply Corp. New York Made in Germany”. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard is made of polished steel sheet metal. It is dent free. Both throat retaining screws remain intact. It shows some spotting throughout. The multi-piece hilt is constructed out of cast brass that has been plated. The guard has one rung that is bent and broken. The quillion is ben and will hit the scabbard on the way up. The black composition grip has four finger grooves. Included is the original hanger.
