A nice RZM SS Dagger! The blade on this one looks great! The acid etched "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue" motto and "RZM 1196/38 SS" (Edward Wüsthof Dreizackwerk, Solingen) SS contract number are both nicely executed! Notice the "E" in Ehre, it has the dipping tip, that's exactly how it's supposed to be! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a good point! Rates a solid Exc++! It shows age spotting and tons of crossgain. This has never been cleaned. The scabbard on this one looks excellent! The scabbard body is steel based and near perfect black enamel painted and remains completely dent free! The nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look good with some light surface bubbling. They retain 98%+ plating coverage! The ball continues to retain its original round shape and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard to hilt fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The zinc-alloy based nickel-silver plated crossguards look good. The chip and crack-free black died hardwood grip is nice with normal wear marks small hits and rubs. The oxidation-free aluminum eagle is nicely detailed and has a good fit. The SS roundel retains 99% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! The unturned nut is oxidized. This is uncleaned and never been apart, exactly as it arrived this way from the Veterans family.
