Veterans’ badges centered on a rosette. These are in gilt washed alloy, shield shaped veterans’ association badge, featuring, to its obverse, a fouled anchor and crossed swords on a pebbled background, over which is affixed a five-pointed star. Dual prongs to the reverse of the badge fix it to a plate, whose reverse has a hinged pin and catch assembly to it. Between the badge and its backing plate is sandwiched a 1 3/8" diameter "rosette," decoratively folded to create a radiating effect. The rosette, which is made of either silk or rayon, is typically, lightly age soiled, most noticeably along its edges, and the badges have light wear. These were given, in many minor variations, to veterans of the wars in China, Korea, and Manchuria, as well as those against the allied nations.
