Unit Signed Vehicle Identification Flag

Here we have a single sided vehicle ID flag that has been signed my some of the GI's unit members. This was a common souvenir in some American units and made a great reminder of the guys in one's unit. To the red flag base is a central stitched on white roundel with a black printed swastika. In there are several "doodles" and some names, it's faded but still there. All four sides of the flag have been folded over and stitched together. The four corners have brass grommets, for easy mounting and dismounting. I love it when the flags have this as it makes it just that much easier to display! There is some soilage, stain and holes throughout, very common to see on used ones. All of the stitching remains intact and the colors are all bright. It measures approximately 39 X 32 inches. A great piece!
