WOW here's a nicely patinaed beauty out of an old collection. The inspection marked 28.5" blade looks awesome! The etched maker mark is beautifully executed and yes, it's is inspection stamped! The blade has no sharpening or pitting and includes a pristine tip. The blade rates an easy NM. The leather buffer is intact. Take a second and carefully peek under there and you will see the factory number it "347" to ensure a perfect fit with the scabbard. The hilt fittings are all nickel with inserted brass swas's which have been silvered and guilt. 100% of the silver remains between the swas. legs!! Now for you guys looking to know what's early and what's good look how convex the pommel is. later swords are much flatter. The grip is double wire wrapped in brass springy wire-exactly how these early examples should be. There is no wear to the grip leather 100% of the leather remains. The scabbard's body leather has a few rubs and pressure marks as you would expect and again 100% of the leather remains. The pommel is correctly hand enhanced with wee oak leaves and acorns. All headless scabbard screws are present. All the patina matches. The hanger remains in good shape. hard to find erly quality anymore.
