Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) “Ingolstadt Süd” Einheit Flaggen. This was arranged and assigned to the Deutsche Arbeitsfront on behalf of the Amt für Arbeitseinsatz der DAF. This two sided flag consists of multiple materials and is both machine and hand constructed. The obverse depicts a centrally placed and separately applied, printed cotton DAF emblem, which consists of; a black mobile swastika, on a white roundel encompassed by a cog wheel. The emblem lies on a red rectangular buckram weave cotton base. The canton features a machine embroidered white “Ingolstadt Süd” above a rectangular brown wool base that is outlined in blue rayon (Ortsgruppe level unit). To the top, bottom and fly end is a twisted silver bullion fringe. The hoist end has been folded over and re-enforced. There are seven stitched on loops that hold seven nonmagnetic stainless-steel rings. The top ring has 2 pierced holes. There are several holes and moth nips throughout along with minor age soilage. Great color remains. It measures approximately 52" x 48" plus the fringe. Nice.
