A beauty Hirschfanger! The single fuller 19 Inch blade is a triple acid etched example. It is correctly stamped with a a 1935-41 Eickhorn maker mark. The etch is nice and clear having highly detailed panels depicting hunting scenes. There is no sharpening and the blade is very clean. The factory felt buffer is partially intact, peek under there and you will see a factory assembler's number, "267". The tip and fit are perfect. The blade rates NM. The scabbard has fine black leather with some chaffing towards the drag. It has two decorative lines running the length of the scabbard on both sides. All of the stitching remains intact. Both undented matching brass fittings have scalloped edges. It does show some wear. The staples are still intact, peek under the staples and again you will see wee numbers. The clamshell has good detail with ever other "petal" being pebbled. The crossguard ends with a decorative stag hooves. The grip is black polished and aniline stained wood with 4 decorative matching, pinned brass devices. There is some damage to the sides of the grip I have taken great pains to show you. The top of the pommel is a elaborately hand enhanced hunting dog head.
