Really a very nice Imperial example. The plated 33 inch triple etched fuller blade on this one looks great! The obverse features a wonderful decorative motif of swirls, leaves and military equipment. The spine shows a decorative laurel leaf motif. The stamped WKC maker mark looks good but I just can't get a decent picture under the languet. The tip is perfect and the fit is near perfect. The blade rates Exc++/NM. The buffer pad is intact. The steel based, blued scabbard looks to have been repaired, (perhaps was dented?) and reblued at some point. It was done professionally and really looks good. You will have to use your fingers to find the repaired area. Both throat retaining screws remain intact. The brass based gold gilded hilt on this one looks excellent! It displays two wonderful looking lion heads; one to the end of the quillion and one to the pommel along with decorative leaf motif throughout. The langet shows two crossed cannons. The wood celluloid covered grip looks good remaining free of cracks with good tight wire. This one is illustrated in Angolia reference pg 141 and called a Weimar period piece. Finally this is finished with a worn Grosser size troddle. A great example!
