A lovely pattern with good detail! The 32 inch plated blade is a minty beauty. It has a beautifully stamped early "Alcoso Solingen" maker mark! The tip comes to a good point and the fit remains nice and tight! The original leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, dent-free, black enamel re-painted scabbard looks good. It shows some very minor wear. The paint is better than 99%. Both throat retaining screws remain. The brass based, gilded "P" guard hilt is just beautiful! The hand-enhanced details to the political style winged eagle and oak leaves are superb! The wood based, black celluloid covered grip is damage-free. This pattern is illustrated in Angolia's "Swords of Germany 1900/1945" reference book. The P-guard on pg 63 and the back strap on pg 69. Finishing this is a knot that suffers some frays but still looks good.
