A great pattern here and finally one that has the skinner intact! The plated blade is stamped with the early maker mark circa early 30's till 1935. The triple etched surface is in very good shape being a nice crisp and deep. The top edge has a perfect oak-leaf motif. The spine pattern is a leaf motif. The blade shows no evidence of sharpening or damage and just some age towards the tip and some to the obverse about the first deer. The blade measures 13" and rates as Exc+/Exc++. the buffer is lost to time. The hilt has just the lightest evidence of use and some plating lifting yet retains nice gilding!! The clamshell is nicely cast. The D-guard terminates with the classic deer hoof that has all been hand chased. Nice stag grip plates have 3 acorns each. The stag plates are perfect with no chips or cracks. All the plated brass scabbard fittings are in good shape showing wear. The lower reverse has a small dent. Good leather all the stitches are intact. There are small scuffs. The skinner remains intact and sports a single acorn exactly matching the hilt. The blade is nice and liiks like it's been cleaned hard at some point.
