Matching K98 Bayonet by ASW
A Wehrmacht Bajonett für K98. The K98 Bayonet was designed for the German Wehrmacht standard service Karabiner 98 kurz (7.92x57mm Mauser cartridge) bolt-action rifle - 1935. The single edged, single fullered, blued blade on this one shows wear and sharpening. I say sharpened and it's not sharp so the sharpening is not severe and does not distort the blade shape. It is marked 41ASW and 352. Grips are chip and crack-free and the spanner/screw assemblies looks to have been turned at some point. The hilt shows wear and loss of bluing. Scabbard is dented to reverse and shows heavy wear. It matches the hilt. Finishing this is a worn and torn frog.
