Hunting Dagger by Eickhorn

Here's a Eickhorn's blued offering. The 13 inch blade is a triple acid etched example. It is correctly stamped with the early, 1933-35 double oval Eickhorn maker mark. The etch is nice and clear light having highly detailed panels depicting hunting scenes. There is no sharpening and the blade is very clean. The factory felt buffer is intact. The blade fully inserts with normal pressure. The blade rates NM. The scabbard has fine black leather with good coverage. It depicts two decorative lines running the length of the scabbard on both sides with some scuffs. All of the stitching remains intact. Both matching blued steel fittings have scalloped edges. The staples are still intact. The matching blued steel clamshell has good detail as do the hooves design crossguard. The pommel has the tang correctly peened through it. The grip is stag with nice blackened brass acorns.
