A Luftwaffe Koppelschloß by GHO. Instituted 1938. Here we have an steel based, single piece, die struck, blue painted Luftwaffe belt buckle and brown leather tab. The front depicts; a centrally placed Luftwaffe open winged eagle clutching a swastika in one of its talons, on a pebbled field, that is all encircled by a laurel leaf wreath, which then all lies on a pebbled background. The buckle is in great condition with good detail. It has some soil and could use a good clean. The steel prongs and catch remain in excellent condition. This piece also has a brown leather tab which has been stitched to the buckle. The tab is age crazed, it is stamped but illegible. It also appears to be GH Osang but tab is hard to decipher.
