A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by Alcoso of Solingen. The blade on this one looks good. The early acid etched “Alcoso ACS Solingen”? maker mark is nicely executed! The tip comes to a perfect point. Some crossgrain remains visible. It shows age grey and spotting towards the tip. The blade rates Exc+. The large brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The Alcoso steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! Both original throat retaining screws remains intact. The zinc-alloy based, silver plated Alcoso eagle crossguard has some wear and scuffs. The early Alcoso pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns that are easily visible through the back burnishing. The orange, slant trylon grip on this one looks great. It is chip-free. These slant grips often are associated with tapered tang blades, this does not have a tapered tang.
