A Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen by RZM M1/72 - Fritz Zimmermann of Stuttgart. These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been silver washed and contains red, white and black enamel work behind a lacquer coating. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red translucent pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse features a soldered-on round plate that holds a well working pin assembly and is maker marked “RZM M1/72”. The enamel work is in good condition with a tiny hit to the left side. It measures 15/16 of an inch in diameter. A very nice example!
