Here we have a textbook model 1935 Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by F.W.Holler of Solingen! A beautifully patinaed Army! The blade on this one is excellent! The dark and crisp acid etched thermometer "F.W. Holler Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! The crossgrain is stunning and runs all of the way from the hilt to tip. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates a solid Exc++. It shows minor age spotting, a touched up tip along with the commonly seen runner marks. The brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based and nickel-silver plated scabbard is in great condition. It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and oak leaves and acorns bands. It also remains completely dent free. The original, more efficient, single throat retaining screw remains tightly intact. The alloy based nickel-silver plated generic eagle crossguard provides crisp details throughout the head, wings, wreath and chest! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with the proudly displayed oak leaves and acorns! The wood based, celluloid covered grip looks great. There is one 2mm crack to the top along with spotting throughout. A great addition for you!
