(U-Boot Frontspange in Bronze). Die struck bronzed zink; the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a side profile of a submarine superimposed on the badge above two crossed swords, and witch six laurel leaves on either side of the wreath; horizontal tapered pinback with an integral hinge and a crimped round wire catch; maker marked “ Ausf. Schwerin, Berlin” and designer marked “Entwurf Peekhaus” on the reverse; lightly vaulted; measuring ca. 76.58 mm x 24.00 mm; weighing ca. 18.9 grams; in overall near extremely fine condition.
