An Early Model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by Hugo Köller of Solingen. The blade on this one is well worn. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “Hugo Köller Solingen” manufacturer’s mark are both nicely executed! Some crossgrain remains visible but it's been cleaned hard with some longditudinal scratches like someone took a Brillo pad to it. Some spotting and the tip has stain. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc. The steel based, black period repainted, undented scabbard has lots of scratches and scrapes revealing the brown anodized finish underneath. It has a nice brown finish and remains completely dent free! The solid nickel silver scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball has taken some hits and retains it's basic shape. All four screws remain intact, one being a replacement. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards match the scabbard fittings in wear, color and patina. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “Nrh” (Niederrhein). The brown hardwood grip has some runbs and a chip to the upper left obverse corner. Minor pressure marks but no cracks. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel.
