A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/80 (Gustav C. Spitzer) of Solingen). The bright blade on this one suffers some light sharpening and has been cleaned at some point evidenced by some fine longitudinal scratches. Likely a Brillo pad or such. It has a clear and beautifully executed "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and RZM M 7/80, Gustav C. Spitzer, Solingen maker mark! The crossgrain is beautiful running the full length of the blade, the tip comes to a perfect point and the blade is perfectly seated to the crossguard. The blade rates Exc+ with just runner marks. The brown factory painted scabbard is in excellent condition with some scratches. It remains clean and completely dent-free. The plated scabbard fittings are nice and bright with some plating loss. The ball is perfectly round and all of the screws remain intact and unturned! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The grip / crossguard fits are great. The brown hardwood grip is in good condition with chips to the lower left and upper right corners obverse corner and another to the lower reverse. The nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains its enamel and has a perfect fit. A nice fit for your collection!
