Extraseitengewehr by Pumawerk of Solingen. A quality rare example for the etched bayonet collector! The plated blade on this one looks good it has minor age and gray. The reverse displays the crisp stamped maker mark. It is etched, "Fur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit Aufklarungs-Abteilung 1 Konigsberg l/Pr.". The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is solid! The blade rates Exc+. There are minor surface scratches and minimal spotting throughout. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard shows spidering and paint loss yet continues to hold 95% coverage and remains completely dent free! The original throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The alloy, nickel-silver plated hilt looks great! It shows minor age and no plating loss. The black checkered bakelite grip plates are perfect! They are tightly secured to the hilt with two brass rivets. The button continues to work well! The mortice retains a red felt plug. A great piece!
