A 1. Form - Nationalsozialistische Lehrerbund (National Socialist Teachers League) Abzeichen by F. Hoffstätter im Bonn. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been silver washed and contains black, red and green enamel work. The round shaped obverse features a black NSLB eagle with straight out-stretched wings clutching a static swastika, with an oak leaf design to either side of it and below an arched “NSLB” in red all on a silvered backing. Fear not the enamel is all intact, what you are seeing is some reflections. The concave full back reverse features a soldered oval plate pin that is in well working condition. It is also maker marked “Hoffstätter / Bonn” and “Ges. Gesch.”. It measures approximately 13/16 of an inch in diameter. A nice rare piece.
