An early model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Haco of Berlin. Now I say that and HACO was not a maker, rather a distributor who purchased their inventory from other manufacturers. From the design and the lines it was one of the Shul makers like Kober or Haenel. A desirable mark here! The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "HACO Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! It's been cleaned and rates a solid Exc++. It shows a bit of age. The undented steel based, brown anodized scabbard is in good shape. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguards in color and age patina. The ball has a few hits and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "B" (Berlin), as they always are. The dark brown multi-toned grained hardwood grip looks great! There is the common pressure marks throughout. No cracks, flakes or chips! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit! The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel.
