Model 1933 1933 Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch by Thomas Wielputz of Solingen. A rare maker mark on this one! This one rates 9 out of 10 for rarity on McSaar's SA rarity rating! The blade on this one has been cleaned, it has some gray and age as well a a few scuffs. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Thomas Wielputz Solingen-Hohscheid Gegr. 1880." maker mark are a bit lightened. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc/Exc+. The undented steel based, period repainted black scabbard looks excellent! The repaint is a heavy black gloss we so often see on these. The solid nickel scabbard fittings have nicely patinaed with time matching the crossguards quite nicely! The ball continues to remain perfectly round and all four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "P" (Pommern). The chip and crack-free reddish brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It shows a few pressure marks. The solid nickel eagle nicely matches the rest of the dagger in color and patina. It also retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. Peek at the reverse and you will see "13" stamped into it. This likely represent the Brigade. The SA roundel has nice patina as well and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A quality rarer example!
