Model 1935 Heer Dolch mit Portepee für Offiziere by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. A textbook Army Dagger by Eickhorn! The bright uncleaned blade on this one is ,minty with plenty of crossgrain. It has no evidence it's been cleaned and in NM with just a couple dots of age. The etched "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed black. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! There is a tiny dent to the lower obverse 6" north of the bottom. You will have to turn it just so in the sun to find it. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated Eickhorn crossguard provides wonderful detail throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The orange, trylon grip on this one is flawless. Included is a nice portepee.
