Here's a nice looking RZM piece from Vet's family! The blade on this one looks great. The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "RZM M7/9 1941" (SMF - Solinger Metallwaffenfabrik Stoecker & Co., Solingen) maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is stunning as it shines against the light, all the way from the hit to tip! The fit is nice and tight! The blade rates Exc++. The steel based, brown enamel painted scabbard has 99.% of its original paint still intact and it has a wee impression3" north of the lower obverse fitting you can find with your finger, really it's nothing but I'm anal so you don't have to be! The steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look excellent with 99% plating still intact. The ball retains a nice round shape. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard/crossguard fit is near perfect! The alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguards are in good shape. They show the common plating loss next to the wood with 97% coverage. The grained brown hardwood grip looks wonderful! No cracks, chips, flakes or large pressure marks. The aluminum eagle shows hand wear to the details and has a perfect fit!! The SA roundel retains 99% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A great looking piece!
