TENO (Technische Nothilfe) Leader's Dagger by Eickhorn. A rare piece missing from most Edged Weapon collections! The blade on this one has been age stain from old fingerprints. The crisp acid etched "Ges. Gesch." TENO (Technische Nothilfe) eagle and "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark are beautifully executed and provide a nice contrast to the bight blade! Traces of crossgrain remain. The tip comes to a perfect point with a bit of stain and the fit is nice and tight! The obverse is serial stamped "0111" under the crossguard and matches the scabbard throat! The blade rates a solid Exc/Exc+. It shows some age gray. The original blue pebbled buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based nickel-silver plated and burnished scabbard looks good as well! It depicts nice detail with the random pebbling throughout and decorative bands and tip! It shows wear and some plating loss to the chape. It remains completely dent free! The throat retaining screw remains intact. The scabbard/crossguard fit is perfect. The TENO eagle crossguard and Cog Wheel Pommel are zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated and black burnished. The eagle shows nice vaulting and is beautifully detailed! They suffer some plating loss the worse of which is to the reverse. The orange trylon grip is in excellent condition! It shows the common wear yet remains crack and chip-free! The whole ling is evenly patinaed Most of these have been snatched up in collections already so if you've been looking for one I wouldn't hesitate!
