A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/66 1940 – Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The blade on this one looks excellent. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “RZM M7/66 1942” maker mark / date are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light, running the full length of the blade. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates Exc++. It shows minor stain/gray. The scabbard is steel based and brown painted. It shows minor age throughout, there is a small hit 2" south of the upper obverse fitting you can find with your fingers. Very very minor but there yet continues to retain 99%+ paint coverage. The scabbard fittings are steel based and nickel-silver plated. They hold nice plating coverage and all the patina matches the hilt. The ball is perfectly round and all four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. The plating remains at 100%. The brown hardwood chip and Crack-free grip looks excellent. It shows minor pressure marks throughout. The plated eagle has lost some plating allowing the copper base to show. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A solid RZM SA example.
