Here we have a M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) by E&F Horster of Solingen. The polished blade on this example has stains, age and hits to the cutting edge like some 8 year old played swords with it. It has a slight bend to the tip. The blade rates Exc. The dent-free scabbard is a generic example as we often see on Horster's offering. It has some plating loss and light surface oxidation. The throat retaining screws remain intact. Look at the wear on the scabbard bands, this one was there! The aluminum crossguard and pommel are nicely detailed and remain in good condition, nicely matching the aluminum scabbard bands. The deep orange chip-free trylon grip has a 6mm hairline to the reverse that you will have to go looking to find. The double twist brass wire wrap remains intact.
