Here we have a 4th pattern Eickhorn Model 1935 Army Dagger (Heer Dolch). The blade on this one is mint. Nothing else to say. The black etched squirrel “Original Eickhorn Solingen” manufacturers mark is crisp and beautifully executed! The tip and fit are perfect. The blade rates Mint. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based plated Eickhorn scabbard has minor wear. It provides good detail with the random pebbling throughout. The original throat retaining screw continues to remain intact. The zinc-alloy based, plated crossguard provides beautiful detail, there is some pitting to reverse. This is where it would have rubbed in wear. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed. The orange trylon grip on this one has a wee flea bite, (small chip) out of the lower obverse, a portepee would nicely cover this.
