1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger
I always liked aluminum 1st Model Luftwaffe Daggers as they seem to remain nice and bright! The plated blade on this one is beautiful! Likely sold through a Uniform Shop. It's unmarked but has the characteristics of Horster of Solingen. It has a wonderful plated mirror like finish! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip is perfect! The blade rates NM. It has just the lightest of runner marks. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The original blue, pebbled, leather scabbard body remains in excellent condition! It has the odd pressure mark and rub and retains 99% coverage and has a perfect seam! The aluminum scalloped scabbard fittings remain nice and bright, matching the hilt in color and patina. The fittings are tightly secured with all five original screws! The aluminum chain has 8 lower and 6 upper ringlets that ends at a well working "Ges. Gesch. OLC" marked clip. The hilt looks great! The four sun wheel swastikas are gold gilded and retain most of their original factory lacquer. The grip leather remains in excellent condition! The aluminum triple wire wrap remains tightly intact.
