EF64 SD M35 Luftwaffe Helmet
Here we have a combat worn example of an undented M35 style Double Decal Luftwaffe Helmet (Stahlhelm) by EF64. The shell is constructed out of a stamped piece of steel sheet metal that has been blue grey painted. The shell has a folded over edge, separately inserted air vents and three split rivets. It also has two aluminum square rings. The dark brown supple leather has 8 1/2 tabs that are all intact. It is size marked with an ink stamp I can't make out. The draw string is a shoe lace. The liner looks to me like a replacement , by who? when? I don't know so assume it's been done post war. Helmet is serial marked “13113” to the back and is also clearly maker marked and sized “EF64” (Emaillerwerke AG, Fulda), size 64. The exterior continues to retain 75%+ of its original paint! The white and black Luftwaffe decal is bubbles and faded. No chinstrap.
