Miniature Combo - EKII, EKI & Spangs
Minatur – Eisernes Kreuz 1. und 2. Klasse 1914 mit des Wiederholungsspange 1939. This piece would have been privately purchased and worn by the awardee while in civilian clothing. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed and contains black paint work. The obverse features an Imperial 1st Class Iron Cross below a 1st Class Spange which is soldered to the left of an Imperial 2nd Class Iron Cross below a 2nd Class Spange. The full back reverse features a soldered-on and knurled silvered steel stickpin. The face measures 3/4 of an inch wide by 5/8 of an inch tall. A great piece!
