Minatur - Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse 1914. This piece would have been privately purchased and worn by the awardee while in civilian clothing. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been silver washed and contains black paint work. The obverse features an Imperial 2nd Class Iron Cross. The full back reverse features a soldered-on and knurled stickpin. The face measures 5/8 of an inch square. A great piece!
