Bund Deutscher Mädel “Gesunde Frauen durch Leibesübungen” Abzeichen. The Reichsfrauenausschuss, a branch of the DRL, promoted women and girls in organized sports with a “Healthy women through physical exercises” campaign. This in part supported women’s success in the 1936 summer Olympics. cIt is constructed out of a die stamped steel base that has been plated and contains black enamel work. The obverse features a winged swastika with “Gesunde Frauen durch Leibesübungen” in black gothic style script on the wing. The reverse features a hollow back with a horizontally soldered on well working pin assembly. It measures ½ an inch tall by 3 3/16 inches wide.
