RARE & Minty - Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Otto Stöver of Solingen. This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity! The blade on this one is absolutely gorgeous. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “Otto Stöver Solingen” maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is absolutely stunning and easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Mint-. There is one spot to the reverse and the typical surface scratches/runner marks. The sheet metal based brown anodized scabbard is in great condition. It retains 20% of its original factory lacquer. It has the odd scratch. It remains dent-free. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are in excellent shape. The ball has the slightest impression and retains a nice round profile. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap. The solid nickel-silver crossguards are in wonderful shape, matching the scabbard fittings perfectly. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “Nrh” (Niederrhein). The brown hardwood grip looks wonderful. It shows the typical bumps but that’s it. Perfect fits. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a good fit and retains 98% of its enamel. Rare and minty! What more could you ask for! In all the time we've been doing this we've only ever owned one other Stöver!
