Rare - Early SA Dagger by Bismark

A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by August Müller “Bismark” of Solingen. The blade on this looks excellent. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “Bismark Solingen” maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is absolutely stunning and easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc++/NM. There is age grey/spotting and scratches throughout along with the common runner marks. The sheet metal based brown anodized scabbard is in great condition. It retains 95%+ of its original factory lacquer. There is a pressure mark to the reverse. Only the slightest oxidization spotting/ throughout. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings have nicely patinaed with age. The ball has some bumps throughout. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap. The solid nickel-silver crossguards are in also in excellent shape. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “Wm” (Westmark). The brown hardwood grip looks great. It shows the typical bumps, scratches and bruises and with one flake chip to the reverse base. It has perfect fits. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a good fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. McSaar rates this as an 8 out of 10 for rarity, yet IMO it is much rarer than that, as I’ve only owned 2 in my lifetime!
