A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/13 - Arthur Schüttelhofer & Co. of Solingen. Based on construction, this piece can be dated to c.1939-1941. The thick ricassoed blade on this one looks decent. The stamped “RZM M7/13” maker mark remains. Traces of crossgrain remain. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates Exc+. There is heavy age grey and scratches throughout. The black sealed leather buffer pad remains intact. The sheet metal based black painted scabbard is in good condition. It shows the typical oxidization spotting and retains 70%+ paint coverage. It remains completely dent-free. It has two runners. The black scabbard leather is in good condition. It has all of its rivets intact. The male portion of the button strap has broken off, yet the male snap portion still hangs on to the button. The zinc based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 80%+ of its plating. Wear in the typical areas. The grip plates are black checkered bakelite and look great. Both solid steel rivets remain tightly secured. The large HJ diamond retains 95% of its enamel. The most common maker of RZM era HJ knives.
