A Metall Brustadler für Sommer Uniform Kriegsmarine by Schwerin of Berlin. It is constructed out of a die struck aluminum alloy base that has been gold gilded. The obverse features a Kriegsmarine eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons. The fullback reverse is maker marked: “Schwerin Berling 68” and features a crimped-on flatwire catch, stamped hinge with tombak nail-head hinge pin and round wire pin. It measures 3 3/4 inches wide by 1 7/16 inches tall. A very rare and desirable maker mark.
