Early Issue - Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen (c.1920-1932). These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been silver washed and contains red, white and black enamel work behind a lacquer coating. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red translucent pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse is marked: “Ges. Gesch.” and features a soldered-on round plate that holds a well working pin assembly. The enamel work looks great. It measures 15/16 of an inch in diameter. A nice early desirable example!
