Early SA Dagger by E. P. & S.
A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Ernst Pack & Söhne of Solingen. The blade on this one looks excellent. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and Jung Siegfried wielding a hammer “E. P. & S. Solingen” maker mark are both dark crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is stunning running the full length and is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an easy NM. There is only minor spotting and scratches throughout. The sheet metal based brown anodized scabbard is in excellent condition. It has oxidization spotting throughout and one wee bump. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are in excellent shape. Textbook Pack features. The ball remains perfectly round. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap. The solid nickel-silver crossguards are in wonderful shape matching the scabbard fitting’s color perfectly. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “Nm” (Nordmark). The textbook light grained hardwood grip looks excellent. There is one crack to the right under the eagle’s wing. It has perfect fits. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed. The crusted SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. An excellent Textbook style Pack.
