SA Dagger by RZM M7/33 1941
Here we have a Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by RZM M7/33 (F W. Höller, Solingen). This is an excellent RZM example that may just be right for your collection! The blade on this one is excellent! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "RZM M7/33 1941" maker mark are beautifully executed! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light! The blade rates an easy Near Mint! It shows runner marks as one would expect. The steel based brown enamel painted scabbard body looks excellent! It remains completely dent free and retains 99% original paint coverage with just the scratch to the lower obverse! The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are also excellent shape! The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguards look excellent as well matching the fittings quite nicely. It shows the common lifting towards the wood. The brown chip and crack-free hardwood grip is in near perfect shape! A real treat! The zinc eagle has some oxidation with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is just perfect 100% enamel remaining! It also has a perfect fit! A great piece!
