Here we have a WKC Model 1935 Army Dagger (Reichsheer Offiziersdolch)! You see that tomahawk head and you just know! The WKC marked blade on this one has age and a couple nail catchers. The fit remains nice and tight! The blade rates Exc. The steel based and silver washed scabbard has a small dent 4" north of the obverse bottom. It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaves and acorns bands. The single side throat retaining screw remains tightly intact. The zinc alloy based nickel-silver plated WKC "tomahawk" eagle crossguard provides crisp details throughout the head, wings, wreath and chest! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with the proudly displayed oak leaves and acorns! The plaster based, celluloid covered grip looks wonderful. No cracks, chips or splits. Includes a period repaired portepee. A fine looking later production piece!
