A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by P. D. Lüneschloss of Solingen. The blade on this one has old fingerprint stain. The acid etched encircled roman helmet and sword “P. D. Lüneschloss Solingen” maker mark is clear. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates VG/Exc. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, nickel silver plated scabbard provides good detail with the random pebbling and oak leaf and acorn bands! The top band looks like it broke at some point and someone glued it back together. You can see the hairlines to the reverse. It remains completely dent free. The original headless throat retaining screws remain intact. The nickel-silver plated eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. Generic crossguard. The off-white celluloid grip is in wonderful condition. No cracks, chips or hits. Comes with a period repaired portepee. A rare manufacturer of army daggers!
