Eickhorn 2nd Model Navy Dagger
A M1938 - 2nd Model Kriegsmarine Dolch für Offiziere by Eickhorn. The acid etched fouled anchor blade on this one has dark the etching. The fit is nice and tight. The crisp etch remains nice and dark and the mid-period Eickhorn stamped "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark is correctly executed! The blade on this one rates a solid Exc+. There a few age spots and a few "nail Catchers"to the edge. The tan buffer pad remains. The brass based, gilded, lightning bolt scabbard has some dents. The details and hand enhancing are beautifully displayed! The throat retaining screws remain intact and unturned. The brass based hilt and pommel are beautifully detailed with the fouled anchor and a proud Kreigsmarine eagle sitting right on top! The hilt and scabbard match in gilding, color and patina. The wood based, white celluloid grip is damage-free. The double twisted brass wire wrap remains tightly intact!
