RARE - Hitler Youth Knife by Malsch & Ambronn

Extremely Rare - Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Malsch & Ambronn of Steinbach - RZM M7/87. Based on construction this piece can be dated to c.1939. The blade on this one looks good. The stamped man at the well “Am Bronn” and “RZM M7/87” maker marks both look excellent. The blade rates Exc+. It has age grey, scratches and spotting throughout. It has been sharpened and has a small wiggle to the fit. The sealed black leather buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard is sheet steel metal based and black enamel painted. It has been period re-painted. It remains dent free. The black “LFS” marked scabbard leather is in good condition. All of its rivets are intact and the “Stocko 4” marked snap continues to work well. There is a hole through the scabbard where a previous rivet likely was. The cast-iron based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 90%+ of its plating. It has wear in the expected areas. The black checkered grip plates are in great condition and are tightly secured to the hilt with two steel rivets. There is a 10mm hairline crack to the reverse plate that is near impossible to see. The large HJ diamond retains 98% of its enamel. Purchased from the Veteran's Family! To the best of my knowledge this is one of only two known HJ knives by Malsch & Ambronn!!! This is the only type/era of HJ knives they made. If you collect by maker don’t hesitate!
